Welcome to eXpand Laundry List Editor!
With eXpand Laundry List Wizard you can:
Import existing laundry lists into a local database to edit.
Automatically assign group headings to imported lists using multiple criteria.
Add, change, and arrange item group headings with a click of the mouse.
Add, change, and arrange items within a group with the click of a mouse.
Save your laundry list changes back to your System database.
eXpand Download Instructions:
All of the eXpand applications are self-extracting exe files. THEY ARE LARGE FILES. These applications must carry all the baggage necessary to set themselves up on a variety of operating systems. These applications only work with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and W2K.
  • Choose the appropriate application from the eXpand catalog by clicking the program link.
  • Download the application to your hard drive.
  • When complete, close the web page and double click on the downloaded file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.
Important Installation Information:
Prop Solutions, the creator of these applications, is a Microsoft developer. We only distribute the latest Windows components received directly from Microsoft. In some cases, your Windows system files may be out of date and our program will need to replace them with the latest versions.  You will be notified of this and given the opportunity to update your system at installation time, or cancel the update. It is also possible for you to have newer versions of certain files than those contained in the application.  Again, you will be asked to replace or skip any existing files that are newer than those contained in the application.
Never replace a newer file!
Version History Information:
Version 2.2 is now ready for download. We added function key support in main edit screen and 'save as' OPSoftware eForm. We also corrected eForm pricing issue and location of eOrder database. The laundry list editor was updated to allow for more items on a list. Previously, each item was sequenced in two's (2,4,6,etc.) effectively cutting the number of items you could place on a laundry list in half. Now the list is numbered by one's allowing for 963 items on a laundry list (999 minus the maximum number of header records of 36). The laundry list editor will now check for the maximum number of items before saving to your Backend System and display a message if the list contains more than the maximum number of items allowed.
Setup Instructions:
After you install and start the eXpand Laundry List Wizard for the first time, the following screen appears: (Click the image for a larger view)

Until you register your copy, this evaluation screen will appear. Choose the Next Button to continue in evaluation mode. If you wish to register your copy of Laundry List Wizard, contact Jack Duncan at 800-722-3615.

Backend System Database Location Setup:
If you have never installed products from us that used your Backend System item database, then you must set your item database locations before you can use Laundry List Wizard. The following screen will appear if you have not installed any products from us that used your item database: (Click the image for a larger view)

You may want to map a network drive to your Backend System folder before setting this location. You must have access to shared Backend System files through your network. Choose the Browse Button to browse your computer or network to locate your item files (i-master). When located, click the Next Button to set and check the entries.

You only need to download the FULL SETUP Laundry List Editor if you have not previously installed Laundry List Editor on this computer. If you have a previous version of Laundry List Editor, then choose the Laundry List Editor Update Download below.

Laundry List Editor Update Only Download:
You can only download the updated Laundry List Editor if you have already installed a prior FULL Laundry List Editor. Choose the FULL option above if you have not already installed the FULL Setup on this machine.
Updated Laundry List Editor Download Instructions:
  • Choose the download link below.
  • Choose the save to disk option. (If this option is not shown, right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As").
  • Browse your computer and find the existing EC_DB.EXE file. (It should be in the "c:\Program Files\Laundry List Wizard" folder unless you picked a different location when you installed the original Laundry List Wizard.)
  • Be sure to replace the existing file.
  • When the download completes, the updated program will be installed.

Laundry List Editor 2.0 Updates:
  • Double-click on group name now brings up group properties window.
  • Group name is now selected when editing group properties.
  • The move to another group function now allows adding a new group as part of the move.

From the Main Screen shown above, choose the Open an existing laundry list from your Backend System database and then click the Next Button. (Click the image for a larger view)

All existing laundry lists on your system will be shown. Select a laundry list to open with the mouse and then click Next. (Click the image for a larger view)

You can choose to leave groupings 'as-is' or have the Laundry List Wizard automatically assign groups to the items on your list. Click Next to continue.

On this final screen before importing a laundry list from your Backend System, you can enter a different name for the list if you choose. Click Finish to start importing your laundry list.

The main edit screen is shown above. The screen is divided into two sections, groups on the left and items on the right. Use the toolbar buttons atop each section to manipulate the section. Place your mouse over a button to show the description of the action the button performs.
Play all you want. The changes you are making here are only in the local database. You must specifically save your changes to your Backend System.
Click the Diskette (Save) Button to save your changes back to your Backend System laundry list database.
Group control Buttons from left to right:
Add new group, Edit existing group, Delete group, Move group sequence up, Move group sequence down.
Item control Buttons from left to right:
Add new item to group, Delete item from group, Move item sequence up, Move item sequence down, Move item(s) to another group, change the sort of items to Description, Item number, Manufacturer prefix, Class code, Department code, or SIC code.
Laundry list control Buttons from left to right:
Save laundry list, Delete laundry list from local database, Show Help on this screen, Exit laundry list maintenance.
